The theoretical phase is focused on:

  • Operational requirements and related AMCs and GM relevant to the duties;
  • National requirements relevant to the examination duties;
  • Fundamentals of human performance and limitations relevant to flight examination;
  • Fundamentals of evaluation relevant to applicant’s performance;
  • The management system of ATOs and the organizational structure of DTOs;
  • MCC;
  • Human performance and limitations;
  • The national administrative procedures and requirements;
  • and more.

PRACTICE

The practical part consists of:

  • Four instrument check profiles in the role of examiner;
  • Skill test and proficiency check;
  • Assessment of the applicant to whom the test or check is given (2 check profiles in one FFS);
  • Debriefing and recording of documentation;
  • and more.

Assessment of Competence, an additional FFS session carried out by the National CAA examiner or Senior Type Rating Examiner assigned by ATO, may be completed upon request.
